MedTalk Facts & Evidence

The single canonical source for MedTalk's verified accuracy, EHR integration, usage and time-saving claims, so every page cites the same numbers the same way.

One source for MedTalk's verified claims

MedTalk publishes quantitative and capability claims across many pages, written at different times by different teams for different audiences. That has produced real inconsistencies: different accuracy percentages, different framings of EHR integration, and different time-saved figures. This page is the canonical reference. Where another MedTalk page states a number or capability that appears to differ from what's here, this page is authoritative, and the other page should be corrected to match it.

Accuracy claims

MedTalk pages cite one accuracy figure, and it's the only one backed by a published methodology (population, sample size, evaluation criteria, date, limitations). Transcription accuracy (how correctly speech was converted to text) and clinical-content accuracy (how correct and complete the resulting clinical note is) are different metrics, so any future accuracy claim should say which one it means rather than citing an unqualified percentage.

See the full methodology in the Clinical Documentation Accuracy Report 2026. New accuracy copy should either cite this 92% clinical-content figure, or explicitly label a different metric (e.g. transcription accuracy) as such rather than using an unqualified percentage.

EHR integration status

MedTalk distinguishes two tiers of EHR relationship, and every page describing EHR capability should use this same framing rather than a flat "integrates with X" claim.
  • Confirmed partnerships — Epic (native FHIR R5 and SMART on FHIR, piloted with ACT Health/Canberra Health Services; MedTalk is a recognised Epic Vendor Panel Partner) and Best Practice Software (integration partnership, Australia's largest GP platform).
  • Export compatibility — Cerner, Athena, Meditech and similar systems: structured clinical note export on Professional and Enterprise plans. This is copy-paste-ready export, not a native bidirectional integration, and is not a formal partnership.

See Integrations for the full detail. Pages should not state an unqualified "integrates with Cerner/Athena/Meditech" claim without this distinction.

Usage and scale

These figures are consistent across MedTalk's published pages. MedTalk does not currently publish a headline active-user count or a specific number of countries served, pending a verifiable, methodology-backed figure. Pages should not state an active-user number or a country count until one is added here with sourcing.

Time-saved figures (no headline number published)

MedTalk does not currently have a published, methodology-backed time-saved figure comparable to the accuracy evidence above. Marketing and FAQ copy has been revised to describe a "meaningful reduction in documentation time" without an unqualified headline number, pending that evidence.
  • The site's own ROI calculator: computes savings using a 40% reduction factor as an illustrative estimate, not a measured outcome.
  • Guide-page citation of independent research: "around 16 minutes per 8-hour day" from third-party ambient-scribe research, with vendor self-reports flagged separately as higher and not necessarily representative of MedTalk specifically.

Until MedTalk publishes its own measured time-saved study, new copy should avoid restating an unqualified time-saved headline figure, and should link here instead.

How to cite these facts

Other MedTalk pages should link to this page rather than restate a number independently. If a page needs a specific figure, it should cite the figure exactly as it appears above, including its qualifier (which accuracy metric, which EHR tier), and link to /facts-and-evidence as the source.
